Hello West Manheim Families,

As we are now in December—a truly magical time of year—we wanted to share a few special updates! This month brings a wonderful shift in our school year, filled with opportunities for festive learning, community spirit, and the joy of the upcoming holiday season. We look forward to a busy and bright few weeks as we wrap up the 2025 calendar year together!

Report Cards:

• December 5: Trimester 1 Report Cards were posted to the Sapphire Community Portal. If you have issues accessing them, please contact Ashley Osorio at ashley_osorio@southwesternsd.org or call our administrative office. 

School Events or Important Dates December:

• December 12: PTO Cookie Decorating – please see your email with info to register

• December 17: 5th Grade Holiday Concert

• December 23: Elementary Early Dismissal at 11:15 AM

December Spirit Days:

• Wed., Dec 10: Positive Message Day – Show your positivity! Wear a positive message t-shirt.

• Wed., Dec 17: Holiday Character Day – Dress as your favorite holiday character.

• Thurs., Dec 18: Holiday Hat Day – Wear your favorite holiday hat.

• Fri., Dec 19: Blue & Gold Day – Wear your West Manheim T-shirt or blue & gold.

• Mon., Dec 22: Fleece Navidad – Wear your coziest fleece/winter PJs or a holiday sweater.

• Tues., Dec 23: Tinsel Tuesday – Wear your holiday accessories and anything that lights up.

Winter Break:

• December 24 – January 2: Winter Break

• January 5: School resumes 

*If you plan to take a family trip or days for the holiday outside of the break, please don’t forget to complete Educational Travel requests on our Sapphire Community Portal.
